Forest Carbon was selected for the 2024 cohort of The Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance (“The Lab”) to develop a blended capital structure tailored for institutional investors. Endorsed during Climate Week NYC 2024, this financial instrument capitalizes on the increasing demand for innovative products that drive forest restoration and conservation while delivering returns for both communities and investors.
With this endorsement, we aim to raise $100 million by the end of 2025 to protect and restore 1 million hectares of critical ecosystems. We have developed and refined our approach to identifying high-value, high-impact ecosystems, through a proven method of land diligence and community safeguards. Our target is to acquire 10 to 15 assets in addition to our current 466,000 hectares to form a mixed portfolio of restoration and conservation projects.
